Well if you have read my posts you will know I run an Adult bABy Nursery in Thailand. The land of smiles.
Now this country is blessed with really lovely ladies who are open minded and caring.
So on Saturday, I was bored. Nanny was away with a customer. Mummy had gone to work and Nan Nan had gone to her family in the country.
I got a message from a girl on Skype saying a friend had told her about me and asked if we could be friends.
I said yes and started chatting with her very openly in a normal conversation.
When it came to our employment, I asked her what she did and she replied. I'm a nanny at an international school in Bangkok.
I went wow, what age to you work with. She then told me how she had progressed from the baby room where they were between 3 months and 18months, to the 18months to 3 years pre kindergarten and now was doing K3 which I am teaching in another kindergarten in Bangkok.
She was talking about how she likes to babysit and is looking for more work, so I replied jokingly. Well you can babysit me if you like. She laughed and then surprised me by saying. Why not, when would you like to be babysat. I haven't babysat adults before.
I was stunned and excited. We discussed and she wanted to meet me at a shopping center. I didn't want to go all the way there and it nearly fell through.
After talking and not coming to a conclusion, I rang her back 1/2 an hour later and said "Why don't you just come to my house?"
She said OK and I said I will pay for the taxi. After some minor problems she arrived at 11am.
She is 32 has 2 daughters studies at University to become a licensed teacher and quite beautiful.
I offered her a cup of coffee and while the kettle was boiling took her up and showed her my nursery. She laughed and said she thought I was joking but that if I liked it then that was fine with her.
We went downstairs to drink our coffee.
As we discussed I noticed she was nervous and asked her so. She replied that she was and I said that it was ok if she didn't want to do, then no need to do.
She then said she didn't think she could do it as I didn't look like a baby. She was very cute and talked very calmly and kindly to me.
As we talked and I showed her more things she became more comfortable.
After about an hour she turned around to me and said. I think I can give you a bath and put your nappy on and put you down for you nap.
So she then took me by the hand and led me up the stairs and into my bathroom.
I got the big baby bath out (you can see a photo on Fetlife.com babybunnykins profile) and filled it with water.
She took off my t-shirt, shorts and baby pants which were wet and put them in the laundry basket.
Helping me into the bath she had me sit down.
Then she sat next to me on the floor and we started singing 5 little ducks went out to play. I had ducks in the bath and used them to act out the song.
She took the face washer and washed me all over talking to me and cooing me like a little one. I was so happy and relaxed.
She then took me out of the bath and dried me and took me to the cot/crib and I got up and on to the waiting terry nappy.
We did the nappy together as she had not done one on a big baby before.
Once she had my nappy and plastic pants on, she helped me up and put me in the playpen on the floor.
I started to play with toys and she lay in the cot watching me.
She then asked me to make a tree from my duplo blocks, I asked her to show me so she got down from the cot and into the playpen with me and started to make a tree.
She is very creative and I loved watching her work and clap with baby joy when she made some thing and showed me.
we played for awhile and then went back downstairs where we started discussing things.
She now said she was more than happy to babysit me anytime and I was so happy.
I showed her my baby clothes and told her I needed someone to make for me. She said she knew a friend that was doing sewing and she rang her then and there to find out. She agreed but needs to practice as she is not sure.
So nanny started talking about how teachers leaving her school often have great baby toys for sale so we agreed that if anything came up, she would let me know and I would buy them for the nursery.
At the end I paid her 900 baht 300 per hour or $10 an hour. A bargain I think.
Next week she will come again and she is going to make playdoh for me and teach me how to make it. She is also going to bring paint and we will do hands and feet painting. Oh its going to be so much fun.
