Try euronform super plus. I had seen that they'd gone cloth backed, just after I ordered. Was crossing my fingers, but when I got them they were plastic backed.
Anyway, these swell up about the most I've seen, they're about the thickness of a tena slip maxi when dry, but in my opinion, slightly better in terms of the feel / absorbency. The only downside is the padding, which could be more extensive in the front.
Maybe if you like slightly bulkier nappies, contifit maxi are an alternative - I heard that abena are going cloth backed on abriform though, so just thought I'd post about what I'd tried recently
