  • Hotel put plastic sheets on my bed!

Hi all - I normally read some of these types of stories and go "yeah yeah", but it did actually happen to me last week.

Normally when I go away for business I always take some nappies. Why not, may as well have some fun!
I normally keep fresh ones hidden in my case and carefully dispose of used ones in a bag in a bin somewhere.

Well last week I was away on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Wednesday night I went out with work people and got absolutely slaughtered, got back in about 4am, threw a nappy on and went to sleep.

I forgot to set my alarm and jumped up really late at about 9am, I remembered I was still wearing a nappy so wet myself while I was brushing my teeth.
I quickly took it off and showered, threw some clothes on and stumbled out the door.

I had completely forgotten to move my clean nappies and even worse, had left the wet one on the floor. I felt bad all day about that - it's not nice to see for someone.

Anyway, when I got back later, the room was spotless again as you'd expect for a 5 star hotel, but ... the hotel had put plastic sheets on my bed!! Secretly, I was absolutely delighted of course.

Rather than going out again that night, I put a nappy on, watched some rubbish on the room TV and enjoyed my plastic sheets.

When I checked out, I left a huge tip for the cleaner for my guilt for not tidying my wet nappy away.

So, it does happen! I think next time I go, I'll leave my clean nappies out and see if they put plastic sheets on again! Or I could just ask

    Anyone any real hotel stories?

We've requested it before also, and the hotels have always been fine with it

In some college areas, the motels and hotels to save mattress's from college frats and co-eds have placed plastic sheets on the bedding and pillows so that drunk co-eds don't ruin the bedding. Most hotels will accomodate you if you mention that you would like it in advance!

Ah okay, never thought of asking before! Well I'll be back there again in a few weeks, so will try it out and see what they say ... will be interesting to ask in Hungarian though!!!! I hope it doesn't get lost in translation and I don't end up with any beds ...

          or a babysitter ... well actually ...

I've stayed in a few hotels and there was already protection on the bed.

I always request a plastic cover for the mattress. The last place I stayed inquired if bedbugs were the reason for the request. I replied, no, my diaper sometimes leaks. Request was carried out. After traveling 6 hours I took a shower on arrival. After I laid down for a minute to air out sans diaper. I dozed off and to my surprise I wet the bed. Needless to say there was a tip for the help. Nothing was said in conversations with the desk clerk that followed.

Wow I had no idea you could request something like that.

Well in response to the subject at hand. . . . that is awesome that you did not get offended when you found that they put a plastic sheet on on your bed. Some people might be offended that they got "busted" having an accident or bladder problem. This is a great story : )

It surprised me that they did that, but it really turned me on! I always take nappies on business trips for a laugh - I regularly have to go to Budapest and the USA and that's never happened before, but then, I've kept it all well hidden

Now I'll just be blatant about it!

Just thinking more about what you said - I guess some people would be offended by that, however, I guess the humiliation is mostly what I love, so in a way, it fulfilled something for me.

I called ahead and requested a "waterproof mattress protector" for a recent hotel stay. I got a call back from the manager saying they could not accommodate that request, but he could have the staff put a shower curtain on the bed under the sheets. I told him that I would only be there for two days and would bring my own if they would agree to wash it for me if need be. He agreed. At the hotel no one mentioned anything, but they also didn't make the bed when they cleaned the room.
