Does anyone know of any powders or something you can sprinkle in a new clean diaper that will neutralize the smell of urine in the diaper you are wearing, when you wear them for long periods of time before changing? Especially for at night so that you don't over power your woman out of bed or have her asking you to take it off cause you are smelling up the bed sheets?

Make sure you use plenty of powder and oil too.

While I do not have a solution for you, I *read* about an incontinence product that helps. You might notice that disposables tend to smell like stale pee after a long day, but cloth diapers would smell tenfold worse, since the disposables have certain compounds to block the ammonia formation.
I wish I knew what it was called, but I read an article by someone with a genuine need for diapers, but he used cloth during the day. He said a customer asked what 'that smell' was, and was a bit concerned, but the customer said it was a nice vanilla scent! It was the diaper deodorant he used.
So I'm sure it's out there, just gotta find it.

Stuff!
There's this oil you can get in a little bottle with a dropper (kinda similar to a ear drops bottle) You only need to put a few drops of it on the inside of the nappy and it makes the nappy smell like baby powder for hours. I don't know whether you want to smell like baby powder lol or are just looking for something to neutralize any other smell that might go in there in that case I guess you could maybe spray some fabreeze in there instead lol
I cant remember what the stuff was called but I can find out for you.

scented oils for diapers

Here is a link for baby scented oils. Just a few drops in a diaper will keep you smelling fresh and clean. If you don't want a baby smell, try goig to a store like Bed & Bath (or something like that) and you will be able to find other scented oils in more taditional/floral scents. I use mommiescents and think that they are great for odor control, and that extra comfort feeling we all enjoy.
Hope this helps,
Best,
F.

Probably the best thing to do is drink more water and change your diapers more frequently.

Hydration definitely helps, and DEFINITELY avoid caffeine. It makes pee STINK. And taste bad come to that.
I would also advise that (unless its a total must for you) don't go to bed wet. Either change nappy or pee normally before bed, then go to sleep in a fresh one, then pee all you like through the night.
Basically having less pee means less smell (most disposables don't smell at all unless you flood them past their absorbency anyway) and what there is won't have been sitting there since bedtime, just maybe 6 hours at most, which shouldn't be too bad.
