Continued From Part 2
A special treat for TVPC readers today is Denise, a tall, skinny brunette, who is here to appeal her punishment. Under TVPC regulations, girls who are sentenced to punishment can re-appear before the TVPC and plead for a reduction or other change in their punishment. These appeals don’t happen often – probably because they aren’t often successful – but every once in a while we get a girl who is willing to try it. The committee will listen to the girl’s case and the reason why she thinks she deserves to have her punishment reduced, and then make a decision. Not surprisingly, most of these appeals involve girls sentenced to toilet suspensions and Denise’s case is no exception. If an appeal is granted, the girl will have to serve another punishment instead, but anything is better than being on toilet suspension and not being able to use the girls’ room in school.
As she stands before us to plead her case, the unpleasantness of her toilet suspension is evident. Her jeans have obviously been urinated in – not only fully wet from today’s urination but also stained from urinations she’s undoubtedly done during the course of her toilet suspension. And as she stands before us with her legs tightly clamped together and her butt cheeks tightly clenched, she’s no doubt trying to avoid an even worse type of accident in her pants. So goes the dreadful experience of being on toilet suspension.
Denise has been on toilet suspension for close to a month now – a consequence of her third offense for smoking in the girls’ room. Her punishment would soon be coming to an end except that shortly after being put on toilet suspension she was caught doing a bowel movement in the girls’ locker room bathroom. She apparently thought that she could sneak in there during her lunch period and use the toilet while everyone was in gym class. But Miss Collins, one of our gym teachers, caught her right in the act and the junior beauty got an additional two weeks on toilet suspension as a result. She’s also had to do two major writing assignments – 1,000 times on the blackboard after school for the smoking and also 1,000 times on paper for using the toilet while on toilet suspension.
The girl’s appeal is that she wants us to forget about those additional 2 weeks on toilet suspension. She wants to get her toilet privileges restored when she finishes up the month that was her original punishment. “You gave me a month on toilet suspension for the smoking and I deserved that,” she admits, “I just want to go back to that being my punishment and ending it when that month is up.” “I know it was wrong of me to use the toilet like I did,” she tells us, “But that was only using the toilet when I was really, really desperate and I didn’t want to mess in my panties.” “I know that smoking in the girls’ room makes it hard for other girls to go in there and use the toilet,” she reasons, “I know I deserve my toilet suspension for that but my just using the toilet didn’t hurt anybody.” “I’ve peed in my pants in school everyday for a month and I’m really wet and uncomfortable now,” she pleads, “And a few times that hasn’t been the only way I’ve gone in my pants.” “You don’t know how bad it feels to really have to go bad and not be able to use the toilet,” she tells us, “I just want to be able to use the toilet in school again.” She offers that for her alternate punishment she submit a report on the health risks of smoking and she also promises us that not only has she not smoked in school since but that she has now quit smoking entirely.
In considering her appeal, I have no doubt that her pleas are sincere. A toilet suspension often does wonders to improve a girl’s attitude and to make her appreciate the school girls’ rooms. But as appeals cases go, Denise’s appeal doesn’t even come close. “You only got the minimum punishment for a 3rd offense of smoking and you only got the minimum punishment for using the toilet while on toilet suspension,” I tell her, “You should be VERY grateful that you didn’t get it worse, so there is no way that I’m going to make it even less than that.” “And while using the toilet may not cause any harm directly,” I explain, “Our school toilets are reserved for girls who follow the rules while they’re in there.” “Perhaps when you do get your toilet privileges back, you’ll better appreciate the school girls’ rooms,” I continue, “Perhaps you’ll better appreciate being able to use them when you need to and then maybe you’ll have learned to follow the rules when you’re in there.”
As I formally deny the poor girl’s appeal, I cannot help but notice an awful grimace on her face as she grits her teeth and momentarily closes her eyes. The tears start to fall as her face grows red with shame and girls sitting just behind the podium where she is standing soon react by each holding her nose. Obviously, Denise has just lost the battle to control her bowel movement and today is one of those days when she has gone both ways in her pants. It also looks like she has freshly urinated in her jeans as well. So goes the dreadful experience of being on toilet suspension and Denise will have to serve her full sentence.
For the last item of business before the TVPC this afternoon, I call the name of Jessica, a cute little junior brunette. She is not charged with a toilet offense today but must appear before the TVPC nonetheless. It was last Wednesday when she last appeared before the TVPC and pleaded “Guilty” to flushing a sanitary napkin down the toilet in the Main Corridor girls’ room. Though the toilet didn’t overflow – it got clogged but it didn’t overflow – it was her second offense and as such, she felt the TVPC’s wrath. In addition to writing 500 times, “I will not flush sanitary napkins down the toilet in school again” (an assignment which she handed in on Monday), she’s spent the last week cleaning bathrooms during her 5th period study hall. She was also given a punishment especially designed for her particular offense.
Ever day after school for the past week, Jessica has visited every single girls’ room in the school. Not only has she been required to empty out every sanitary napkin disposal box in each girls’ room, but she had to keep a count of how many sanitary items were in each box. Her punishment was to prepare a report of this data for the TVPC – the report to contain the contents of each box each day, and a daily and weekly summary for each girls’ room in the school. Today, a week later, she is being asked to hand in that report detailing the school’s sanitary napkin count for the past week.
“I trust that you have a report for us, Jessica,” I ask the junior brunette. “Yes, sir,” she answers, “I have the count for each disposal box and a summary report on top.” She then hands the report to the TVPC clerk as directed. “Can I assume you’ve learned your lesson from this little exercise?” I ask her, “Can I assume you now understand where sanitary napkins belong?” “Yes, sir – I completely understand,” she answers. She goes on to explain that it was really embarrassing to have to go through the girls’ room everyday after school and count the contents of each disposal box. “It’s not exactly the most dignifying thing that I’ve ever had to do,” she says, “It’s not fun to have the other girls giggling at me as I was counting them and recording the results.” “I’m not complaining, though,” she is quick to point out. “I know you could have put me on toilet suspension since it was my second offense,” she acknowledges, “And that certainly would have been worse than counting sanitary napkins.” “Flush another one and you WILL go on toilet suspension,” I point out in no uncertain terms, “And I’ll probably have you do this all over again as well.” “I assure you that they’re won’t be a next time,” she tells me, “I’ve learned my lesson this time – I’ll never flush a sanitary pad again.” “That’s what I like to hear,” I tell her as she is dismissed.
So concludes another session of the Toilet Violations Punishment Committee. Meeting adjourned at 4:00 PM.
