why can't I copy my story from word?

Tried 3 times to copy my story from word to new thread, and although it appears to copy in okay, when I press submit, it just disappears? Can a story be too long?

Any advice would be welcomed.

Hiya - It may be that your story is too long. We tried unsuccessfully a few month back to higher the limit on characters allowed in a post.

Maybe try and split the story into smaller parts (part 1, part 2 etc) and see if that works.

Thanks for your advice, that was the answer.

Maybe if you can't extend the number of words available to use, then at least provide a message, which indicates the story being submitted is too long and needs to either be split or reduced in size.
