Yes it is! Great art pushes the boundaries. IMO, your neighbor's mediocre painting of The Last Supper is NOT art.

There is no great art without great talent. A mediocre rendering of The Last Supper, while not "great art" is still mediocre art, and shows a striving and intent to be great art even if it fails. Beats the hell out of some transgressive twat finger-painting with her various bodily fluids to shock the normies. It's been done before, it's not shocking, it's not art, and it's not an important statement. It's just annoying and trite.

The world would be a better place if so-called "performance artists" were locked away in asylums, for their own good. Though 'free helicopter rides' would also be an acceptable solution.
