I do not know if this depends on your browser or on your operating system or both. My recommendation is to avoid Microsoft products completely, in particular: do not use Internet Explorer. I have seen complains of this kind various times, and I can only say, to me they seem to be home-made - simply by choosing a Windows adventure instead of Linux reliability.
I get no money for this... It is just what I can say after 20 years with computers and 15 years in the net.

I use Firefox 4 and have no problem. (Other than having to click twice on the "HERE" button on the disclaimer page. (That is since the upgrade to FF4, didn't have to do that in FF3)
But like I wrote before, the FF4 upgrade came on the same day as a bunch of Windows updates. I haven't figured out yet what causes this sudden "have to click twice". I have the idea that it has something to do with that clock they have on the disclaimer page.
Pipi.

For the record, I think I had the same problem on Firefox 3.6 on Arch x86-64, but I usually skip the intro page, so I don't remember.
And I would NOT recommend Linux over Windows for most people. It just doesn't work that way. It's great for "power users" and very good for people who require only basic functionality (Office suite, internet browser, e-mail client, etc.) because you simply can not break anything, but in my experience, configuration is just too much of a hassle for people who do not fall in one of these two categories.

By the way, installing ubuntu is ridiculously easy. But I have no intention to start an off topic discussion about computer matters here. I made my comment just because I felt sorry for friends of this board who just suffer from believing in Microsoft, most likely without even knowing about (in many important respects superior) alternatives. Go ahead with M$ if you decide that it is a must for you...

But I don't think you read my message completely. I'm an Arch user and I switched about a year ago. Before that I used Debian for a few months and before that Ubuntu. I love the operating systems, and I know what I am saying. I'm good with computers (if that is even possible) and I am willing to invest a lot of time learning stuff. Most people do not want to do that. I even know a lot of people having problems getting Android to do what they want.
If you are one of those people, go ahead. Have someone install Ubuntu and you are set for the next two years or so (after which you'll probably want to upgrade). You'll find it is much nicer than Windows. If you're a bit of a nerd like me, install a nice distro and start learning how it works, because you will need to know this. It's just the way the operating system is built (by hackers, for hackers). If you're not willing to learn how it works, just how to control it, Windows is okay, and OSX (Mac) is great. If you don't want to spend money on those, just be prepared to invest some time.
This is simply my experience and of people around me.
Now, before this ends in a flame war, we might like a lock on the topic, for extreme off-topicness

I have never been a hacker or wanted to be one... Until recently, all my home computers have had some Windows OS because it is difficult to buy one without an installed Windows version: In this country, most dealers are handcuffed by Microsoft contracts. I leave the installation as it is (I don't overwrite it which I'd do if I "hated" it) and install Linux on a free part of my hard disk so that serious scientific work can then start. This way I paid for Windows versions of various types throughout the years, and of course made attempts to work with them too. I don't say it is not possible but it is really in many respects what you call "a pain in the ass". When a superior OS is so easily available, why should I use one which produces inexplicable phenomena (which are not analyzable because the source codes are Microsoft's secret)? Now, if people have similar experiences with inexplicable phenomena, to me it is the most natural impulse to recommend the OS which for years has been the most reliable for me. When I say that Linux is superior, then this is based on my personal experience (and that of colleagues) and not on some irrational hate.

Now, "buy" whatever you want - and wherever you want. But, please, don't address me with personal insults based on nothing else than prejudice against Linux or Linux users. The Linux community is most friendly and helpful. A tenor like that in your message would be extremely unusual on their boards.
@ Drying - just seen your message. It's okay... Peace!

Having said that, I've had enough. We're way OT with this one. Omo Rashi, despite knowing you're a Linux user, I'll try not to hold it against you. We all have our faults. My second computer is a Mac.
