You know how once the vid ends, it brings up a grid of short clips from other vids? Your program is most likely mistaking one of those files for the actual video. I'm not sure how to fix it on your end, but what I do is bypass the whole thing and download the file directly. I use a Firefox extension (adblock) that allows you to sort through every element on the page, and with most video sites (xtube included) I can just look for a minute and hit on the FLV file I need while leaving all the other crap behind. The bonus is it works on a lot of sites where the usual "download video from the internet!" programs will be totally perplexed.

Note that I'm not saying Adblock is the way to go in your case, there's probably easier ways of doing it and I'm a bit of a nerd so sifting through a bunch of links to various page elements isn't really intimidating. I'm just saying it's the way I've done things since I worked out how to get more out of the extension.

Thanks for the reply! Your right, it is one of those vids that pops up after the main video plays. I was trying to download with realplayer but it gets those little crap video clips every time. Firefox wouldnt work on my old computer so I never tried it on this new one, but looks like I should give it a shot since I have seen quite a few vids on that site I would like to get ahold of.

If you're using Video Download Helper in Firefox, click the little download arrow before the video finishes. Once it finishes, you can end up getting the preview thumbnail videos instead of the main video.

I was one of her friends. apparently she kept getting harrassed by some colossal douche so she closed her account. as far as video capture, the best program there is out there is atube catcher. 100% free and it lets you capture vids and convert to larger near HD vids. Best ive found

It can only bring a movie up to the level it was uploaded. If it wasn't uploaded in HD you cannot convert it to HD quality.
