I have absolutely zero sympathy for idle, witless protestors who choose to interfere with others' ability to do their job. They complain that somehow 'Wall Street' is to blame for all their problems...but rather than going out and looking for work and doing something productive with their lives, they choose instead to make a nuisance of themselves. I read several news reports all of which indicated that, when asked, most of these aimless whiners could not even explain what the protest was about or, indeed, what the hell they were even protesting!

If this weeping, demotivated hippie girl had been at school or at the office doing her job like the rest of us, she wouldn't have been handcuffed in the back of a paddy wagon, pissing her pants and crying like a child. She claims she 'only wants to be dignified', but I fail to see the great 'dignity' in standing in the middle of the road in your pajamas, eating pizza with your stoner friends, and hurtling curses at real working people as they fight through your half-assed picket lines in order to try and work to support themselves and their families.

All that said, this is quite possibly one of the finest 'genuine desperation' clips I have ever seen. It is hot on about a dozen different levels and her tearful desperation is made all the sweeter by the fact that I utterly loathe her and everything she purports to 'stand for.'

Haha. Yeah, sometimes you can see nice things as a police guy I think. Nothing shown in this clip btw. Just 2 girls and a polite cop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIENaT4KgHk

now how tempting would it be to simply slap the handcuffs on them and make them wait for a few hours to sober up before releasing them, Im sure their little bladders would have filled up again in no time, oh the temptation ...

From what I have seen in your posts on here, you are a bigger whiner than she is. The last comment you made to someone you ranted on like a demented idiot.

What do you know about other peoples efforts to work and also, the greedy gets on wall street DID rip us all of. Selling mortgages to people convincing them that they could afford it just for the commission. What about the short selling of shares, devaluing companies and making a killing buying the shares back at deflated prices due to them flooding the marked with borrowed shares.

I guess you luckily have a job and I truly hope you loose it you selfish piece of trash.

Eh? The last several comments I've made on this board were thanking people for making posts. Hell, the majority of my comments have indeed served that purpose.

Back on your meds, my son. You're getting confused about fact and reality once again.

I don't know what you do for a living, but whatever you do, with 9% official unemployment in the US (16% if you count, as you should, those long term unemployed who have given up looking, even higher if you include the underemployed (e.g. laid-off people who have accepted part time or other positions that they are overqualified for, like engineers working at McDonalds)), it's pretty harsh to complain that they ought to just "go out and look for work". And sorry to disabuse you, but yes, "Wall Street" is almost entirely to blame for their, and our, problems. Corporations are sitting on tons of cash, investing them in Wall Street paper instead of in their operations, which could put people to work. The average Wall Street income has increased over the last 3 years. People complained about the auto industry bailouts, but although both classes of bailout recipients paid the government back, the wall street bailouts were much much bigger, and at least the auto companies put people back to work.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you are pulling your opinion out of your ass. If you are not a Wall Street fat cat yourself (I have no evidence either way), your sympathy for the poor working stiffs on Wall Street is sorely misplaced.

I'm tempted to flag your post as offensive, because it is, but instead I'm going to just ask you: please, let us enjoy this clip without having to see your reactionary bullshit. If you would sympathize with the people who brought down the world economy and then expected us to thank them for it over the young people who now have to get their start in this shit job market, that's your business, but please leave it off this fetish site.

Major Travis is spot on. These idiots protesting "Wall Street" like it's a single entity are the same as if a bunch of people stood in the street and protested "The Internet." They're gonna rail against "The Man" maaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!! Using Facebook, Google, Mac Books, iPhones, and Flip Cameras maaannnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait, aren't those the very instruments of "The Man"?????? Bunch of spoiled babies constantly filming and hoping to cry "police brutality" when their little zip ties are too tight or they cut their finger. Go big or go home like they do in Syria. You're a laughing stock.

Major Travis, you're a fucking asshole. Those people are out there trying to protest the fact that the ONLY people in America who are doing well right now are the very people who imploded the economy in the first place, the ones who have been persistently having their taxes cut ever since 2001, and all you can do is insult them and tell them to get a job. First of all, with 9% unemployment (officially, it's much higher in reality), a lot of them probably can't. By making such an ignorant statement, you're proving yourself to be the type who believes people are only poor because they're lazy, and I think the last thirty years have shown us that's not the case. Second, you're basically saying that everyone should just sit back and let the banks and government do whatever the hell they want and if we stand up for ourselves against them, we deserve to get arrested and thrown in jail for it. Forget the first amendment, which guarantees the right to free and peaceful assembly, protesters deserve to be pepper sprayed and arrested for speaking out because that is what America's all about, right?

You have no understanding of the economy. You have no understanding of the constitution. You have no idea why those protesters are there other than some vague idea that they're lazy hippies (which they're not). Shut the fuck up and take your idiotic bullshit somewhere else, because you're not going to get the mindless agreement you were probably expecting when you made that post.

P.S. One last thing: I agree with KingPlant, I rather hope you lose your job so that I can stand here and tell you to stop being lazy and get another one during a severe recession. We'll see how quickly you jump up to call the unemployed lazy, idle and witless once you've spent months sending out resumes and still haven't gotten anywhere. Or are you just SO secure financially that you're not one of the majority of Americans who'd be completely fucked if they had to go even a month or two without a paycheck?

P.P.S. Oh, look, another stupid dick posted while I was finishing this off. You think zipties being too tight is police brutality? How about you actually look for some videos of what's going on at those protests? Just yesterday I saw a video of a plainclothes cop literally walking through the crowd and spraying women in the face with pepper spray as they stood there not causing any trouble and not provoking anyone. Note that he didn't go after any men, despite many being in the area; only women, which makes me wonder if he was more focused on "keeping order" or showing off how much power he has. Seriously, do some research, or is it too much work for you to learn about what you're talking about before you start acting all high and mighty?

\/\/\/\/\/ Look at that, we posted at the exact same time so now the parts where I'm trashing you for disparaging the unemployed are outdated. Which is like half this post. Dammit. *shakes fist* \/\/\/\/\/

You'll note that I was not complaining about jobless people or 'the unemployed' as a socio-economic group or anything like that.

My comments were directed at shiftless layabout youths who, rather than doing something productive (like getting a job or an education or volunteer work at a homeless shelter or dog-walking at the ASPCA, etc), have chosen to make a public nuisance of themselves.

Again, most of them don't even know what they're protesting. They don't actually have a purpose or a goal. Just a bunch of random, disenfranchised youth who want to thumb their noses at 'Wall Street' as though it were some evil empire determined to crush them all under its faceless might.

No, that's not a fact. You're talking out of your ass right out of the gate. You sure are reading a lot into Major Travis's post and putting words in his mouth. And sweeping generalizations and name calling. Yeah, the economy is fucked up and certain segments of "Wall Street" are despicable. But like I said, these spoiled babies thinking they're making any kind of a difference with their little rally are a laughing stock.
