liverpool marathon

I ran Liverpool marathon (UK) yesterday, fortunately (for me anyway!) the start of the race was delayed by 45 minutes, which of course meant being surrounded by young, slim females, mostly dressed in lycra shorts and leggings, who had been to the toilet ready for when the race was due to start, but due to the amount they had drunk before the race, by the time 45 minutes had passed were desperate to go again. The jiggling, leg crossing and blatant talk about how much they now needed to pee, as well as being squashed together in a congested start area made it one of the most memorable experiences I have had lol, unfortunately none of them lost control but hey, you can't have everything!

Unfortunately not, although I did see some disappearing into the trees, it was actually announced over the PA for people to stop urinating in the trees and use the facilities provided lol

Was the marathon won by a teenage lad with a hoody on, carrying a load of car radios and laptops? They run very fast in the Liverpool area.

I have done loads of races/marathons etc
They are by far the best place to see many squats taking place, Most of them dont even care if you are peeing right next to them! I saw easily 40 different women peeing at the start of the gt north run... there is a tree line to the left of the race start... it was a fight for the free pee spots

Seriously, any running event never has enough toilets....
Everyone has taken on alot a water to be correctly hydrayted for the race.
There are always multiple squattings taking place.
Check out the running magazines for the events taking place nr you... the bigger the race the less toilet facilities!

I agree in the UK the great north run is the prime place, Ive done it twice and there are so many people needing to pee at the start, and loads doing it for charity who have no idea about running and done no training that have to walk so take ages to complete and often have to squat on the way, Im also sure a couple of times judging by the smell Ive run past women who have also shat themselves.

Note to Aloo, the advantage of running a marathon in Liverpool is that I had to keep going, I was worried if I ever stopped some scummy scouser would steal the trainers off my feet
