help saving videos please

hi,
excellent work to everyone that posts, thank you for all youve found and shared
i think it essential to save the videos we find, im getting quite a library built up now!
its so easy if you got real player then you just click the download button that pops up when watching the video, works on you tube and many others, however mtv videos are hard to get off their site, in particular one where jonna and cj from the real world cancuun are waiting for a bus and jonna cant hold it and after some encourgement from cj soaks her jeans is hte street, i can not save it, just get the ad no video, would post link but its so easy o find via google just type jonna pees pants real world cancuun it is usually first, but cannot be viewed from uk, i used a ip blocker privacy thing and i watched it fine, one of my favs and would be good to save it in case it vanishes one day!
any ideas greatly received, ps i am computor idiot so not to technical plz!

check the post about celebrity incidents, someone put a link to a page that I think is not from MTV where you can watch it and hopefully download it. Hope this help you get that super hnot video (Jonna is my dream woman)

I hate RealPlayer, so I use a different method.

For YouTube videos, I use a userscript (needs GreaseMonkey in Firefox, works directly in Chrome) called YousableTubeFix. https://www.userscripts.org/scripts/show/13333

For the rest I use FlashGot (Firefox extension), which simply catches links to video files and audio files and downloads them at the push of a button.

For the files that can't be caught this way, I have some different methods, but I suppose that's too technical.

Me too. I simply use Downloadhelper in Firefox. Works perfect and not only for YouTube clips. Downloads everything in MP4 or FLV if you want to.

(It's a free add-on that you can "add" to FF, it's not standard there for those not so familiar with FF. Next to that I like the no-script add on a lot. But that's another story)
