Yes, let's be honest here, QuietPR is not being unreasonable. He may not be as net savvy as Major Travis but rather than blame him for just taking things at face value, why not save your slagging for the fucking con merchants who specifically design pages to take advantage of people!?

Or would that be too sensible for you, Major T?

Incidentally...I see that if you go to the same link page multiple times, you never get precisely the same information. I've been there three times now to test my theory and gotten three different download pages. One one occasion there was only a download button the size of Texas with some small illegible text beneath it. On another occasion I got a huge banner ad and a frame that offered the option of "removing the ads" which, when I moused over said option, pointed to a redirect to pay for premium membership - this version had a play now button and a download button and no clear indication of a way to download the file without getting the download accelerator. The third version had all of the previously mentioned features, but the ad moved to the side of the screen and there was, this time, a checkbox to download it without the accelerator.

So whatever version Travis got may have been more intuitive than the version I got the first time I tried last night. Or perhaps not...I never use sites like Sendspace for anything so he probably just knows the bullshit better than I do.

Sites like this are infamous for causing problems with computers...there's gotta be a better way.

There are many better ways. Unfortunately, most of them cost money that no one is likely to be interested in paying.

You want shit for 'free' in this life, sometimes you pay the hidden price of aggravation.

I use Firefox with the NoScript add-on. I see no weird links, just the download one I need.

It's a pity that we've taken this stunning clip and turned the thread into a shouting match about how to save/share videos.

Those of us into sexual wetting who were fortunate to catch it on YouTube owe MasterP a big "Thanks!"

I have seen no shouting in this thread.

I expressed my annoyance at user-unfriendly and intentionally misleading web design on the part of Sendspace, but not once did a voice get raised here.

Other than perhaps yours, with exaggerated rhetorical flare.

I mean no offense to the original poster...I'm sure the clip was fantastic. I just don't like going to download one thing and ending up with something else - especially an executable something else.

I agree...no shouting here. It just sucks because I can't download it... tried a few times but apparently I keep selecting the wrong download button, which is not surprising as there are about 10 of them on the page which all look equally inviting.

If I get her to do more, I'll be sure to post it for you all. It took convincing, but I think she was curious anway :P

OK, here;s how it worked for me, you click on the link and it sends you to sendspace where you have to enter 2 codewords with a space between them to prove you are human lol, further down on the next screen is a blue box with a down arrow on it with the words 'click here to start download from sendspace'. When I click on this I then have the option to open or save the flv video file.
