    The Good Old Days

Isn't i always the case that we think things wee better in 'the old days'
I was here and on other sites when it was 33KB dial-up modems and even a picture took ages to download. I used to get up at 04:00am to get better download speed to see the Giga Picts.
The fact was: in those 'old days' we did not have much on this topic, so anything was wonderful. Remember Thomas's site or Patches? I miss them, but there is so much more and better stuff on Pee topics now.
I would like to go back to the excitement of finding Patches, Giga or Wet Set for the first time, but not to the conditions we saw them under.
Changes are often for the better, and then not appreciated. So long as we keep this board open and going, registration is not onerous, and if you can't be bothered to do that them you can't have much to say.
I can think of ways this board coudl be 'improved' i.e. made more to my liking, but I am only one, and have no great influence.
Links are a great thing that let all of us see what somebody has taken the trouble to seek out and someone else has posted for our pleasure.
Me? you might know some of my stories, so you would then know that I like to see DESPERATION!! The more the poor woman has to struggle to hold in her pee, the better, and the more she shows how badly she wants to go. If she wets, well that is only an indication of how desperate she was; I do not want her to do that for fun.
Woudl anyone really want to go back to a tiem when there was no YouTube and no Ger's Female Desperation, or no Skymouse??

      A Good Thought

To perish the thought of no , Patches Place or H.D.Wetting . That of I Need 2 pee ! Along with I Need A Pee too
It would be like stone knives and bear skin type of living . Without the benefits . We now have here today . With what we have on the inter net . Theses forums we all go to at present . To not have these luxuries . Would be unbearable to handle if they were not available to each of us . To enjoy in !

        Format is not to blame

It is not the format or the log-in restrictions that make a site; it is the content, and the content comes from us, not the site owner.
If we are unhay with what it posted, the responsibility is for us to publish more, and different topics.
Sure I did nto agree with, or like some of the old postings, but they were 'interesting.' (Was it "Napoleon" who saw evidence of Britney wetting herself in every photo of he ever published? What a thought! But at least he was active and perhaps amusing.)

I am as guilty as anyone, as I have not offered anything or started a topic for a long time, until this thread was started.
This board has been running a long time, and 'someone' is taking the trouble to keep it live and moderate it He deserves our support to keep it live.

          Well said.

Replies help as well. I probably post pee videos here as much as anyone does. And I would probably do more of it, but I usually get little or no feedback, so I just don't bother.

There were lots of good stories, esp. from the talented Michelle (obviously a woman, by the way, you could tell by the consciousness and the romanticism). If I were to start a little site, I would try to create a mix of the kind of quality story writing which characterized that site combined with the personal experiences that were common on the old wetset boards with the black background.
I remember Thomas' page fondly. Some great stories. Here take a trip down memory lane.

Well I am very glad that this thread I started inspired such great discussion. I'm sure many of you realised that I did not actually think the site format had anything to do with the quality or quantity of posts. It was merely to spark meaningful discussion and debate. I'm happy to see that it did

                Bord and Dazed...

                Days gone by...
Everyone has a camera now and everyone has a little tinkle to show off. It is not like it was; so many giggle/goofs, and so few gen-u-wine accidents, and where are the literate storytellers?
But, I will always remember Patches at Frontier.net, Alori, Ripples and BLWP, and I say a thank you to all who share (and who have shared) their experiences and observations.

                Thanks again to all!

bordendazed, you bring back memories from long ago! At first, I just posted messages on usenet before creating my first website on eznet.net which was not large enough to handle all the traffic that my site generated. So I moved my website to frontiernet.net which had better connections to the Internet backbone.

It wasn't long before my website was drawing more traffic at frontiernet.net than any other website on their servers. It caught the attention of the management at frontiernet.net and they wanted to throttle my usage or ask me to find another service provider. Fortunately, I had a friend who was a programmer at frontiernet.net and he made the argument to management that my site would help them run tests on load balancing which were needed to provide better service. The management at frontiernet.net went along with that argument... for a while. Finally they declared that they had enough test results and asked me to find another service provider.

About this time, Patches' Place became patches.net and I partnered with Wet Set and Hightide in getting our own server at another service provider instead of sharing a server with other users. We changed service providers several times over the years but I retained the patches.net domain. The partnership with Wet Set and Hightide has been a very good one and we worked together with a high level of trust and have always appreciated the mutual benefit of our partnership. Believe it or not but we now run 6 servers between us with all the content that is offered on our servers!

So, thanks for the memories! It is amazing all the good things that have happened over the past couple of decades!

Well said...but how does it get fixed? There's a lot of people with the same interests and it would be nice to have some type of a "community" to share with. It can't just be a one way street.
I think there is a lot of the "why bother" attitude. It takes time and effort to post just to get little or no response...or even a negative one. I've seen many great posts in the past with hundreds of views and one or two responses...and there always the negative comments. That sucks. If you don't like wetting (or whatever) pictures, don't look. Anyway, how do we change it?

                      What do we want?

I lost my internet connection for some time, so I have not been able to keep up with this thread.
What do we want from a board? I have always found this one good enough for me, and there were others to try as well. Can anyone else remember 'Holding It' That used to have some good threads, but like everything, there was rubbish as well. We should never forget that what we might think of as rubbish someone else might like.
Is there a site that is more concerned with stories, experiences and discussions? I used to write stories as a hobby but now there is nowhere to publish some. Remember the All day Girls on Thomas's site? They are not dead, I still think of them and have written the occassional new chapter, but Ger at Female desperation will not publish them as he thinks that some of them are 'underage' Never used to bother anyone in Thomas's day and I have never had any complaints.
I know that there was once a site, based, I think in Korea or somewhere in the East that had all the old stories but never answered any of my mails when I tried to send him updates.

One last thought: Was there more deperation to be seen in the 'old days'? I don't seem to have seen a decent sighting for years now.
