@Dusty
There have been guys who did the video work from time to time. I can only think of one girl who did her first scenes in front of a guy using the camcorder. It was Misty in Patches 6 and 7. She was 18 years old and the youngest model we ever used in a Patches video. She did have a hard time wetting herself and we had to do a lot of retakes and creative editing to keep the scenes with her interesting.
Most of the regular girls had no problem wetting themselves in front of guys but it seems to make a difference if the guy was supposed to be there when the scene was shot or not. If the guy was helping with the camera work or the lights or the sound, then he had a reason to be present and the girls did not get pee shy. However, if a guy was just watching from behind the camera, then this could affect the performance. I remember one night when we had two married girls doing a scene together. Their husbands were waiting outside the building where we were shooting. I thought it would be a nice thing to invite them to come in and observe how a scene was shot. Well, they sat quietly in the background and both girls froze up and could not pee for the longest time. It seems to make a difference whether the guy who is present is a significant other or someone who is supposed to be there because they are working to make the scene happen just like the girls are. That was the last time I invited a husband or a boyfriend to view a scene as it was being shot. The only exception was a couple of scenes where the husband or boyfriend was part of the scene and he was in front of the camera too. Then the girls were not pee shy.

Patches 1 only ran about 20 minutes and it was later made to run about an hour with some Raysco footage added (with permission). Patches 1 had all kinds of color problems that we could never correct. Of course, the camcorder and editing equipment we had back then was primitive. I was always kind of embarrassed to sell that video because of the poor quality. However, everyone has to start somewhere and this is how we began Patches' Place!

You have an excellent memory! Yes, Pockets and I did change our looks after the video was released for sale. No, I am not "a nationally or worldly figure" but I am well know in my professional circles so I do have a legitimate concern about not wanting to be recognized. With all the advancements in software for facial recognition, it would be possible for someone to get a positive identification on me even after aging 20 years.
Yes, I recall the radio interview I did and again, you are very perceptive. I did have a slight southern accent because I lived in the south for a few years.
I have no plans to re-release Patches 1 because of the poor quality. I suppose it might have some value to people for nostalgia reasons but there is much better material available today from many, many sources.
