Can any one recommend a good downloading tool for taking youtube video's off the web to save them for your own? I am using a Youtube FLV converter and it doesn't seem to work too well.

4K Video Downloader was the only thing I found that could download movies over 720p from YouTube. Also, the website TubeOffline works great for many other websites such as VK, Xtube, etc. They also handle YouTube but I've never tried them so I don't know if they can capture 1020p or 4K video from them like 4K Video Downloader does.

        My Dirty Hobby

I can't seem to download videos from My Dirty Hobby any longer. They have updated the format of the site and Video Downloader on Firefix isn't working now. Frustrating.

For FireFox the add-on "Download YouTube Videos as MP4" works great and is easy to use.

After installing the extension, go to YouTube.com and click a video. You'll notice a new "Download" button below the player. Click the button and you can select one of the formats that are available.

The DownloadHelper for Firefox works on almost every site, including of course YouTube, FC2, Xvideo etc. etc.

Definite 'Up Vote'. This just works for me.

I use firefox's Download Helper. It's old school and it does leave a watermark but you can download ANY video from any site, including youtube. That's my favorite.
