Since they don't show any of the actual wetting in progress, it's hard to know if it were real or simulated. Moore is a method actress, IIRC, so she may really have done it for real - but we'll never know in the absence of an interview. Sadly, we are left with the movie itself for imagination instead of an actress doing that for a movie, and there is little that is exciting in that context.
