Suggestion and Question

Question: How does the emailing/messaging work on this new board? If I don't want my email address ever to be visible, but I'd still like to receive messages from other members, is that possible?

Suggestion: Set up another forum for questions like this about the forum software, since they (1) are off topic and (2) apply to all the forums equally!

Hello AT, I had the same question. By the way, I am a board oldtimer like you (from 91) but had a different name then. Good to see I am not the only fossil.

Private messaging

All the options for Private Messaging are in UserCP --> Edit Options.

By default, members can only send messaes to each other INSIDE this forum (and therefore no one sees your email address), but you can change the options if you wish, such as to get an email when you receive a private message etc.
