Why on earth would I want to Google it? Do you Google the titles of threads before you view them? Or do you just read the title that says "X wetting" and think 'great, a wetting', then realise it's not a real wetting. Then you find some interesting comments on the thread to which you wish to respond. It's not rocket science.

narada makes it extremely clear in the first post that he is talking about a television show. if you are complaining about the 20 seconds you wasted clicking on the thread, you spent much more time bitching about it.

also degrassi is a canadian show, so i'll forgive the anti US (UK?) shot.
I am not complaining about the time I spent on the thread, I have simply stated, with sound reasons, why I think fake wettings are not a good thing, in response to someone else on the thread who moans about people needing to get jiggy with their imaginations. Someone criticised people for opening the thread when it was clearly titled, and I simply pointed out that the thread title to a non-Degrassi aware person, implied a genuine wetting. Once opened, there were some interesting comments to which I responded. It's a discussion board, we are discussing!

Though now we seem to be discussing HOW we discuss, which could get very tedious.

And the shot was at anyone who assumes their culture is known and understood by the rest of the world, whatever country they come from.

And in a similar vein, this board is not the be all and end all of wetting photos or videos, but the general point about fake crap becoming all pervasive is a valid one. It's a general point, a musing. You know, a discussion point, let's discuss it!

      Or not...

I hope those outside US and Canada can view this, if not then you're on your own I'm afraid.

By the way, there is nothing to be seen in this episode, it is simply implied that pants were urinated out of fear.

I think fake wettings are a good thing as long as they are labeled as such. For a smaller community like we have, we have to rely on fantasy and imagination to some degree. I enjoy reading the fictional stories and watching the fake wettings - especially since real stories and real wettings aren't common.

They serve as filler and keep the board more active. Plus, fictional stories can be better than real stories. I'm someone who enjoys imagining, so posts like these don't bother me one bit (although I wouldn't masturbate to fake videos).

I respect your opinion, but I think there are good reasons why fiction and fakes have a place on this board. If anything, a fake wetting on a tv show feels like a shout-out to our community - a reminder that people do wet their pants.

And your opinion is absolutely valid, though I do disagree with it (but I respect the logic of it). What annoyed me was the dismissal of anyone who might wish to express a view that thought fakes were not a good thing or to my mind much more importantly, that fake wettings should always be labelled as such, where possible.

When the episode was broadcast on Teen Nick, they actually showed Eli wet himself. I wonder why they cut it?

                      Ah

Oh, I had no idea, I have seen some of the earlier episodes on regular TV, but had never seen that particular one.
