I am from UK so not familiar with US police methods, but how did the police manage to find 3 very desperate women and then keep them in handcuffs for an unknown time so that their desperation could be filmed? Why is the clip cu short just when it was getting interesting?
Video seems of decent quality, with sound track, so how was it filmed. Could it have been done with a camera-phone? Seems unusual that the police would allow a stranger to video their actions, and why no reaction form the 'victims' ?

if they were stopped for drunken driving, (DWI) then why do we not see any attempt to measure the blood-alcohol levels? Urine analysis is not accepted in UK, is it in US?

Police methods vary greatly state to state, city to city. Parts of America cops pull people over for no reason whatsoever, though they usually make something up.

I'm lucky to live in a part of California that has great police. Never had or seen a moments trouble in my current city. But when I was younger, in another more working class city, I was stopped and shaken down routinely. California's all about cars. The simple act of walking can arouse suspicion. It's always the "there have been burglaries in the area" excuse. They use it because all areas have burglaries.

Other places in the USA, the police are down right scary. I know a woman that was pulled over in the deep south for having California plates. They detained her for hours. Insisted she must be transporting pot because she was from California. Tore her car up. Refused to let her pee the whole time. It was awful. Abusive. Not at all sexy.

Again, I'm not taking sides. I only know what was filmed. There are fantastic police doing heroic jobs.

It looks like the cops detained five or more people. There was a man, and another woman in regular pants. Neither looked desperate.

I supposed if you film street police activity at night, you will come across times when the suspects have to pee. Especially on a party nights like Fridays and Saturdays. If everyone starts downing beers at the same time, they will need to pee at about the same time. If they're "cruising" the main drag in the same car, people tend to synch their pee breaks because no one wants to stop the car and break the seal. So the need builds up.

It seems to be a hand held camera filmed by a guy on a bicycle. The Youtube channel shows he films street activity involving the police. This is becoming increasingly common as a way to document police excess. In his other videos, the cops are really irritated by his presence. He seems especially interested in sobriety check points. A great spot for desperation hunters.

I'm not sure why the camera went dark.

It sounded like the people being detained didn't like being filmed. I don't think they knew they were being filmed until shortly before they asked him to stop. They didn't trust who he said he was, so he stopped recording.

I don't know what you mean by "victims." If it was a street "line up" as I described before, crime victims are usually kept hidden from suspects. At stations its a one-way mirror. In this case the victim was probably sitting in a darkened police car, seeing if he/she recognized any of the faces.
