No, she didn't make it. She has been removed for violating YouTube's policy on nudity and sexual content, lol! If you downloaded it as you always do and can make it available, we would be grateful. Thanks.

I wish I could watch these sendspace videos

Every single time I click on a sendspace link, I just can't figure out how to watch the video. Do I have to create an account? The download button just takes me to a page that tells me my Adobe Flash player is out of date (I know for a fact it is not out of date -- "updating" it through such a page will, best case, hijack my browser requiring a hard reset of the computer. Worst case I'll get a nasty malware infection). What am I doing wrong?

Your diagnosis is correct, Sendspace's advertisers promote a load of hijack-ware. You do not need to sign up. The way to get this safely is to access the link with ALL SCRIPTING DISABLED. This can be acheived by browser extensions like NoScript for Firefox and ScriptSafe for Chrome. Best also to have ads disabled with something like Ghostery too, then most of the dangerous links won't show. What is left is a reference to the file, a blue box which is a link to Download, another box to Save to My Account (which presumably does need you to register, so don't use it) and a text link to Download with Wizard (that will probably want to download some software for the wizard so, again, don't use it). When you click the plain Download, it opens another tab or window in yor browser promoting yets more software - again close this without clicking anything. What is left is a download dialogue box to save the file you want. Check the file is the one you are expecting, select the location on your computer, click OK and it downloads the file.

I'm leery of those sites like Sendspace. First of all, Flash is bad and is going bye-bye at the end of 2020. So, sites that use it will have to come up with another format, like mp4 or HTML5.

                  Much appreciated!

Upload to the files section of omo.org, so everyone in the community can SAFELY enjoy it.

Unfortunately, you have to register and, if you upload copyright material like this which those who run Omo.org have agreed with the publishers not to host, they will delete it and ban your account without any consultation. Plus, there are severe limits on downloading, which their software calculates incorrectly and locks you out for days instead of the claimed 'until tomorrow' so that is not a solution that will help most people.

If anyone finds something safer than Sendspace, which now looks pretty dangerous, we would love to hear. Does anyone have experience of my other suggestion on another thread, http://zippyshare.com/?

I wonder how zealous they are about enforcing the DMCA? See https://zippyshare.com/sites/dmca.html

                          So much fearmongering.

You had to register for this site and there are no limits to downloading once you've made a few posts. PLUS that place actually has some decent discussions going on... unlike this relic of the 90's.

It isn't fearmongering. I know three people who have been banned and my account regularly won't download for over a week at a time instead of the claimed 24 hours. We need somewhere to post that is open to all.

Don't know, I guess trying it would be the only way to find out. Also, I haven't tried accessing it with protection turned off, so I haven't checked if it is safer than Sendspace for downloaders.

To test this, I have uploaded the NYC subway clip. I marked it as private so not searchable. Let's see if it lasts for the 30 days...
