I don't believe for a second that to the director, this is some flaming liberal protest of (whatever). He or she is a peevert (lower case "p") just like the rest of us.
And getting the women to be barefoot, so they have to walk out stepping in each other's pee, is fucking brilliant.

Perhaps we need to chill a bit. Since Transbordação is an artistic presentation and since the first session was duly filmed by professionals, it's reasonable to expect Dora Smék will be producing and publishing an excellent video of the performance. Let's wait for her to publish it than clamor for clips taken by someone's cell phone.

Here is a translation of the announcement at https://www.dorasmek.com.br/transbordacao which is written Portuguese. Transbordacao means overflow. The purpose is for women to free themselves from shame by publicly wetting themselves. Think of it as a form of feminism or women's liberation and you will understand what they are trying to do. In this context, it is not weird at all!
Overflow
Throughout life in society, we are conditioned to different types of behaviors and behaviors that constitute us as social individuals. Such conditioning, which entails a series of ideological, political, economic and social clashes, establish expectations for the conduct of life in society. Molds or behavioral models inhabit various layers of the body, either consciously or unconsciously.
In the stages of human development, the ability to control physiological needs is one of the first signs of body self-control. In the child's development, the ability to control the body's sphincters establishes one of the first traits of independence from parents, involving their own awareness of models of conduct in social life. Along with physiological self-control and the identification of the appropriate place for such needs (bathroom), the social distinction between public and private is also established.
Everyone who acquires this ability in adulthood carries body memories of this transitional period when the boundaries between public and private are still blurred. Overflow accesses such transitional memories of an individual's first autonomy, expressed in the ability to discern what is appropriate or inappropriate in a given context.
Since the adult body is already conditioned to control the appropriate moment of urination, Overflow proposes an inversion: to de-automate the body's trained processes as a possibility to “control the lack of control”. This shift inevitably accesses a considerable range of internal clashes, which from the intentional act of urinating in the pants in public expands to a whole complex network of life-long conditioning, such as the very dichotomous notions that underlie the concept of adequacy. or inadequacy.
The physiological lack of control of the body leads us to situations of fragility present in childhood, when we are acquiring self-control skills, as well as in old age, when such acquired controls begin to fail. Facing out of control puts us in direct contact with the body's marked vulnerability in the extreme stages of life.
Contemporary macro-society with its excessive media and control mechanisms, so far removed from the human dimension in its means of action and production, has as its counterpart a growing need to turn to the body as a resumption of the micropolitics necessary for life. Needs to reconnect with one's own body and the other's body eventually drive the interests that unite women who are willing to overflow in a collective.
The action, when proposed, comes into existence from the moment of public announcement, with the attitude of registration of the interested parties, in which each one directly connects with the proposition, and follows in the preparation meetings. On the day of action concentration is structured in grounding and connection exercises, exploring the ability to deepen pulsating issues in the intimate, individual, and collective spheres in each body. Beyond these three spheres and many others, there are reactions and negotiations with all the bodies that perform in direct relation with the public, as well as all the incalculable unpredictability during the action.
Overflowing expands into several layers, accesses micro-political levels and expands into a wall of self-proclaimed female bodies traversed by the complexities of the present.

I'm sure this very faithful translation will help lots of readers here. One very minor suggestion may be to use the Portuguese word Transbordação instead of trying to translate it. I'm pretty sure that Ms. Dora dosen't intend it in the literal sense of "overflow" but rather in a more figurative sense something akin to "release."
Most of the women in her 2017 video are not ostensibly desperate and simply pee their pants to demonstrate their solidarity in releasing themselves from societal norms concerning when and where it's appropriate to urinate.
We're anxious for her publication of the outdoor session at SPCC.

Patches and PP1 thank you for the discussion and the translation. I first saw the video on Tumblr's wetting page posts. It was lost in Tumblr's insane outburst in December. I did a search and found it on the 'Tube and fave'd it. I found it enlightening especially with the above translation. My pee fetish began in the First Grade in the early 50s as I've chronicled on these pages over the years. I'm absolutely no fan of humiliation that often the numerous Omo posts promote. On purpose or genuine leaks are enticing/fascinating. This line of women wetting in unison and their comradery expressed in the translation is heartening. As an "elderly" man (I hate that designation) I'm well aware of urinary pressure because of typical prostate issues. I often wish I could just "let go" in my pants even with a small pad, just because it would feel so good but general public reactions are predictable and negative. Of course no one wants to be near your spreading pee puddle or walk in it. But I learned long ago in my years work environment in a solo public setting that our bodies don't care where we are when its bladders and bowels demand emptying. I came close many times to filling or wetting my BDU pants. Only by grace did I escape the outcome because 12 hour shifts precluded going home to change. Anyway, I thought the line of women willingly letting go in their pants was particularly moving given the courage required but from a male fetish standpoint, also enticing. Noteworthy also, apparently not all women chose to release their pee as some on the limited camera work walked away dry. Anyway, hoping she publishes further such exercises both for the artistic expression and the visual value to some of us at least here on this long established site.
